One of a series exploring different approaches to still life painting. A painting of a peeled lemon segues into the mathematical construction for a spiral, with a segment of lemon being used to display the palette. The substrate is reclaimed ply. The work draws attention to the processes of painting and the inherent beauty of the mathematics underpinning natural forms.
